Welcome to the Adult Basic Education (ABE) Fully-Accessible Online Disability Manual. This manual was designed and is supported by the PANDA Grant. This website equips ABE managers, teachers, volunteers and tutors to empower, educate and improve the lives of their students with disabilities. The guide includes knowledgeable contributions by Adult Basic Education and Disability Specialists. We thank them for their dedication and passion to assist educators in maximizing the learning of adult basic education students with disabilities.

We appreciate Dr. Barry Shaffer, the Minnesota Adult Basic Education State Director, his staff and the Minnesota Department of Education for their support and funding of this website.

ABE programs and teachers face significant challenges in serving their students with disabilities. In the spirit of technological innovation, we designed this website for 24/7/365 access to disability resources. The easy navigation, instructional help, easy downloads and search engine cater to ALL users. The fully accessible website allows access for individuals with disabilities. The disabilities represented address the challenges faced by Adult Basic Education programs nationwide.
